What’s in a name ? “Smart Touch”

Hopefully you will have heard of this exciting feature being incorporated into new KODAK scanners, but what exactly is it and why is it so useful ?

The Smart Touch feature allows you to scan documents to file, e-mail, printers or other desktop applications, with the touch of a button. Documents can be sent as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, RTF or Searchable PDF. With nine pre-set shortcuts, you’re ready to go as soon as you install the scanner. Or you can modify and rename any of the shortcuts to create your own custom setups. You can also preview and easily edit images (zoom, pan, rotate, crop, and much more) before they are sent to their destination. Save a “Scan Invoices” shortcut as option 2, for instance. The next time anyone in your office needs to scan invoices, all they have to do is select “2” and go. It’s quick and easy—no training or programming required. Support for dozens of languages means you can put the smart touch feature at virtually everyone’s fingertips.
